Why do they choose to label you as a gang member under false pretenses that violates the 14th Amendment, which is Due Process. With my process of being labeled SRG, I never was presented with any accusations, I was never notified about anything pertaining to any gang activity and they just placed the label on me. There must be some type of process in place to make it equal justice and they are violating this constitutional right. This is the culture of SRG I speak of going on in the NCDAC.
See gangs in the prison system didn’t sprout till around 2006, and it was not as bad as it is now. Beforehand they just had area codes and cities beefing amongst each other and for the most part everybody else was apart of some religious section. I can admit to the gangs being the reason as to why the system is the way it is now with all the lockdowns. Guys use to prefer staying in close custody rather than being promoted, because you had your own cell and then we use to go outside three times a day, even go to the gym, go to the service with everybody, but now since 2012 when the war occurred between the UBN and Pretty Tony and all the close custody facilities in NC was put on code one, which is lockdown. This gave SRG all the power they needed to do whatever they wanted to do because now they see they can be funded, and all these possibilities started coming about for them.
Before the war there were only like two or three at each prison, if that. But afterwards, they started creating teams of SRG officers and they began moving like a gang themselves doing everything corrupted they could think of to further their funding from the federal government. So, money is the motivation. SRG officers get paid more than regular correctional officers. Money is always the motivation! CAPITALISM!!
