This system is so corrupt because nobody on the outside can see what’s going on, on the inside at the very moments it is happening and then they have these long-drawn-out procedures to where staff and administration can cover for one another. The only time corruption isn’t accepted amongst staff and administration is when one of them is being independently corrupt by dealing with a resident and bringing contraband into the prison for their own personal gain. That’s when they become cast aways and they’ll be exploited by putting them in newspapers and broadcasting it on the television news as if they’re combating real corruption in the prison system. That is how they throw the veil over the taxpayer’s eyes!
The real corruption is done amongst each other and how they mistreat and abuse their authority upon the residents in which they hide those facts! If somehow corruption is exposed amongst staff and administration, we as residents will see them get walked out and think they have been fired, because we will no longer see them at that facility. The whole time though, they were only transferred to another facility. I have seen that on many occasions where that staff member supposes to have been terminated for what they did, especially when the death of a resident was involved! There needs to be more transparency, so therefore we can have some accountability.
